The NAS International Training Program is hosted by Northwestern Michigan College and is open to anybody who is interested in learning more about maritime and underwater archaeology. Internationally recognized, it provides students the knowledge and skills to participate in projects around the world. With a modular structure and a choice of specialist courses the program offers students the opportunity to develop both basic and advanced skills in archaeological surveying.

Since its introduction in 2000 more than 1900 people have taken the first step on the NAS Training Programme with the Introduction Course, with many going on to complete the Part I, II and III Certificates. Located on the shores of northern Lake Michigan, Northwestern Michigan College is a N.A.S International Training Partner that offers academically accredited courses in Traverse City, Michigan.
